About Your Presenters

Dr. Sarah Greenwell, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy and Running Rehab Specialist

Dr. Sarah Greenwell brings over a decade of clinical experience helping active adults and runners move with confidence and efficiency. While she treats a wide range of orthopedic and sports-related conditions, she has developed a strong passion for working with runners who want to stay consistent, avoid setbacks, and improve performance.

With advanced training in Spinal Manual Physical Therapy, Sarah combines hands-on treatment for early pain relief with progressive strength, mobility, and stability training designed specifically for the demands of running. She understands that running isn’t just about legs — it’s about trunk control, balance, coordination, and efficient force transfer through the entire body.

Her background in treating neurological conditions such as post-stroke, Parkinson’s, MS, and balance disorders gives her a unique edge when working with runners. She has a deep understanding of stability, coordination, and gait mechanics — critical components for injury prevention and efficient stride mechanics.

Dr. Erin Pereira, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy and Running Rehab Specialist

Dr. Erin Pereira brings over 15 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, with a deep passion for helping runners and endurance athletes stay healthy and perform at their highest level.

Her journey into physical therapy began after a high school ankle injury sidelined her for months — an experience that sparked her commitment to helping athletes recover smarter and come back stronger.

As a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Erin combines advanced treatment techniques with performance-driven rehabilitation. She utilizes tools such as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, blood flow restriction training, and slow-motion video gait analysis to break down running mechanics and identify the true drivers of pain or inefficiency.

Erin isn’t just a clinician who treats runners — she is one. As an avid runner and triathlete who has competed in sprint, Olympic, and half Ironman distances, she understands the mindset, discipline, and frustration that come with training interruptions. She knows runners don’t just want to “feel better” — they want to get back to chasing goals.
